Ovarian Cancer Foundation NZ
The Luna Foundation has donated $5,000 to Ovarian Cancer Foundation NZ (OCFNZ) to support the development of its first tailored awareness campaign for young women. This multi-channel initiative will be carefully designed to reflect different age demographics and the social media platforms most relevant to younger audiences.
The campaign will utilise symptom-awareness messaging through digital boards in primary care practices and billboards in communities across Aotearoa during February, which marks Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Alongside this, a targeted social media campaign on a platform most relatable to young women will amplify the message.
Together, these channels provide an effective approach to increasing awareness, addressing critical knowledge gaps about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and correcting widespread misconceptions about screening and early detection.
