Through its involvement with the arts, The Luna Foundation recognised the need for a residency dedicated to women writers, giving them the time and space to progress their creative projects.

The Luna Foundation Writer's Residency runs for two weeks each year. Alongside a 14-night stay in Hawke's Bay, the successful applicant receives a $3,500 stipend, airport transfers, and the use of a car for the duration of their residency.
